Last lab of my engineering life

Yes.. You read it right. Last lab of my engineering life got over today. hehehehe. I don't have labs in next sem. It is such a relief. Today's lab had been great(as always)!! I didn't get hardware experiment this time also. I never got hardware expt in any of the labs in previous semesters. I got the easiest experiment once again!! Bit and character stuffing!! WOW!! Couldn't have been better na.. And the best thing is NO LAB FROM NOW!!!! :)

No torture!! No viva by externals!! No fear of not getting the output!!

And here's my today's fortune on orkut:
You will pass a difficult test that will make you happier.

Thanks to all those who wished me good luck..

Bole toh, simple hai bhai, Ox mane Bael,

Why am I a blogger?

The first time when I read a few blogs, I thought most of the bloggers are either those who have very good writing skills or those who are frustrated because of one or the other reason. I don't come in either of these categories. Still, I started blogging. I felt a blog is a platform for me to express myself in my own way. A blog just helps us to know others better and let others to know us better. It’s all about expanding your horizons. It’s about emitting and absorbing. And above all, its fun!!

When I came across this quote I asked myself- do we accept things that we can't change? And the answer was-No.. Rather we keep on complaining about them continuously. We search for reasons to justify that things shouldn’t be the way they are. We search for excuses to prove that we are right and the circumstances are wrong. Really, one does need calmness to accept the facts of life. On the contrary, many times we have the power to change certain things in life but we don’t put appropriate efforts. We assume that we can’t do anything. Sometimes we give up before even trying and then repent later saying “I should have..” or “If only I had..”

So, I guess, the most important question here is how we know what can be changed and what can’t be. May the Almighty give us the wisdom to know the difference....

If life had a Ctrl+Z

There are a lot of things we would like to correct in our life or do again in a better way. Unfortunately, life doesn’t offer a U-turn.. Jo ek baar kar diya,wo bas kar diya.. Jo bol diya,wo bola gaya.. Per socho agar bhagwan hamien Ctrl+Z option de to?? maza aa jayega na..
Acha..what if this option is given to you only once? What will you do..or rather undo??
Main to abhi soch rahi hu.. aap batayo..

Does it happen with you??

That you say you hate orkut and scrapping, but end up checking it 10-12 times a day?

That you delete bulk mails everyday on yahoo in spite of knowing that they don't add to your quota?

That you catch yourself humming a song which you didn’t like when you heard it for the first time?

That on a day when you wake up with the feeling that you’ll spend it usefully today, you sleep throughout the day?

That you sit down to write a post about something and after you're done, it turns out to be about something completely different?

Dream!! Live life!! When you dream with open eyes only then you enjoy essence of life. Dream.. to achieve what you want. And make it sure that your dreams turn out to be realistic.

What's funny in life is that sometimes we think too much. We think about every possible situation, about what we are going to say, about how we are going to say and about when we are going to say it. We think a lot about other's opinion.

When we finally decide that it's time to say it, or when we are ready to confront the situation, it's too late. When we finally realize that it doesn't matter what anyone thinks except for us, it's too late.

We lose a chance because we waste too much time. We lose an opportunity.

Don't let any opportunity pass you by. Make use of it.

The Road Not Taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that, the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

--Robert Frost

An inspirational poem.. Someone once asked me,"Why do you always insist on taking the hard road?" and I replied,"Why do you assume I see two roads."

Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening

Whose woods these are I think I know
His house is in the village though.
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

If you could...

I was thinking about a question that people are asked from time to time...

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

I am very shy, an introvert. There is one thing about internet. Shyness doesn't really matter here. But if I am meeting someone for the first time face to face it would be very difficult for me to look at or talk to them. Would I make myself an extrovert instead?

Also,I tend to be very sensitive. So my feelings are hurt very easily. I don't tell people when they have hurt me. Rather I just keep it to myself and then when I am alone I have a good cry. It helps sometimes. I know I should tell people when they hurt my feelings. But I can't.

I think the thing I would change about myself would be my sensitivity.

So, if you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

To laugh is to risk appearing the fool.
To weep is to risk being called sentimental.
To reach out to another is to risk involvement.
To expose feelings is to risk exposing your true self.
To place your ideas, your dreams before the crowd is to risk being called naive.
To love is to risk not being loved in return.
To live is to risk dying.
To hope is to risk despair, and to try is to risk failure.
But risks must be taken because the greastest hazard in life is to risk nothing.
The person who risks nothing does nothing, has nothing, and becomes nothing.
He may avoid suffering and sorrow, but he simply cannot learn and feel and change and grow and love and live.
Chained by his certitudes, he is a slave, he's forfeited his freedom.
Only the person who risks is truly free.

Amazing quotes from The Alchemist...

This is my first blog..So lets start with some inspirational stuff..

Whoever you are,or whatever it is that you do,when you really want something,it is because that desire originated in the soul of the universe. Its your mission on earth and all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.

At a certain point in our lives, we lose control of what's happening to us, and our lives become controlled by fate. That's the world's greatest lie.

If you start out by promising what you don't even have yet, you'll lose your desire to work toward getting it.

Every search begins with beginner's luck. And every search ends with the victor's being severely tested.

When you possess great treasures within you, and try to tell others of them, seldom are you believed.

Everyone seems to have a clear idea of how other people should lead their lives, but none about his or her own.

Tell your heart that the fear of suffering is worse than the suffering itself.

It's the possibility of having a dream come true that makes life interesting.

It's the simple things in life that are the most extraordinary, only wise men are able to understand them.

You must always know what it is that you want.

"Why do we have to listen to our hearts?" "Because, wherever your heart is, that is where you'll find your treasure."

Don't give in to your fear. If you do, you won't be able to talk to your heart.

Life really is generous to those who pursue their destiny.
